BARS CATALOGUE OUR ALLOYSThe choice between extruded or drawn bars is a strategic decision that depends on the technical characteristics required by the final application. Eural offers an extensive range of shapes: round, square, hexagonal and flat, designed to ensure high machinability, structural uniformity and excellent mechanical performance.
But when is it preferable to choose an extruded bar and when is it better to opt for a drawn bar? Extruded bars are ideal for large diameters, over 80 mm. Drawn bars are generally used for smaller diameters, where tighter dimensional tolerances and higher straightness are required. The latter, previously pickled for a clean, flawless finish, are cold drawn to ensure superior performance in terms of tensile strength and hardness.
This alloy presents medium mechanical properties and an excellent resistance to corrosion and good weldability properties.
Stressed structures such as towers and shafts, carpentry, components for railroad, nautical, defence, aviation means of transport. For cars, extrusions for seat guide, bumpers, ABS parts and sub frame.
