In an industrial context increasingly focused on sustainability, Eural Gnutti stands out as a pioneer in the development of innovative alloys. The company has been investing in research and development since before the ecotoxicity of lead became a priority, with a view to creating alternative semi-finished products with high machinability, offering added value to the industry.
This insight gave rise to the LEAD FREE project, which is set to mark a paradigm shift for the entire sector. Through its new alloys, the company has demonstrated how it is possible to guarantee the same performance in terms of high machinability, long associated with the presence of lead, paving the way for a new generation of safer and more sustainable materials.
Eural's LEAD FREE alloys 6026LF, 2033 and 2077 are therefore a completely new development: made mainly from recycled aluminium, up to 95%, they guarantee excellent machinability, superior machine tool productivity and reduced cycle times, without the use of lead.
In line with the needs of modern industry, these characteristics make it possible to optimise downstream production processes, minimising waste during bar processing and subjecting tools to less stress, with the certainty of generating less waste due to wear and tear. This achievement anticipates the developments of the main European regulations 2000/53/EC (ELV), REACH 1907/2006 and RoHS 2011/65/EU, combining efficiency, responsibility, competitiveness and performance.
