Food
In the food industry, metal components must guarantee high performance, corrosion resistance and full compliance with European safety and hygiene regulations.
In this regard, Eural has obtained certification of suitability for food contact for its 6026LF alloy. Already appreciated in the automotive, tyre and electronics sectors, the alloy stands out for its excellent machinability, eco-compatibility and absence of lead (Pb ≤ 0.1%). This characteristic allows the alloy to comply with Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/197 (CLP), the REACH Regulation and the RoHS and ELV Directives.
Its suitability has been certified through in-depth SEM, EDS and GD-OES analyses, as well as bismuth migration tests under extreme conditions of contact with liquid and oily food simulants. The results showed stable and safe behaviour, and further toxicological evaluations confirmed the alloy's compliance with EFSA guidelines. Thanks to this evidence, 6026LF by Eural is a high-performance alternative to the alloys traditionally used in this highly critical sector, consolidating its technical value.
